OUR SERVICES

Our History

OTA is dedicated to the conversion and commercialisation of abrasive products, covering various fields of activity and applications.
 
OTA was founded in June 1973 by Mr. Feliciano Duarte, who gave wings to his entrepreneurial spirit, taking advantage of his extensive experience in the Portuguese abrasives market.
 
The activity began in leased facilities in Porto, focussing on the import and conversion of products from the main European producer of abrasives at the time.
 
From the conversion of belts and rolls, OTA quickly evolved into the production of other types of products as well as starting to represent, in Portugal, other top-tier European manufacturers.
 
To sustain growth, OTA moved, in 1986, to its own facilities in the industrial area of Porto, where it converts various types of products, both using standard solutions and through manufacturing processes designed and developed internally.
 
With the progressive departure and death of its founder, in 2021, management was progressively transferred to the second generation, who supported him since the mid-80s.
