SiC (Silicon Carbide) is the hardest and sharpest of the minerals used in abrasives. Thanks to its hardness and very sharp shape, this abrasive is ideal for multiple applications that do not require great pressure when cutting. Its grains are friable and, when broken, they continually expose new cutting edges that allow rapid removal of the material. It is more aggressive than Alox but wears out more quickly.
Polyester film is used as a support for precision polishing products. It is also used for belts and discs that require more resistance than paper, while maintaining flexibility, or when you want to ensure superior uniformity of the abrasive surface and better quality of the finish.
