Abrasive Silicon Carbide (SiC)
Grits P320
Backing Paper C/D

SiC (Silicon Carbide) is the hardest and sharpest of the minerals used in abrasives. Thanks to its hardness and very sharp shape, this abrasive is ideal for multiple applications that do not require great pressure when cutting. Its grains are friable and, when broken, they continually expose new cutting edges that allow rapid removal of the material. It is more aggressive than Alox but wears out more quickly.

Lightweight and flexible, A or B papers are mainly used for manual operations or to support delicate, fine-grained operations. They can be prepared for wet work.

The indicated grits are the most common for the operations in question, but they do not exhaust all available alternatives. We will be happy to help you find the best solution for your case.

The designation of this product assumes a rectangular shape. The most common dimension of abrasive sheets is 230 x 280 mm. There are, however, more standard sizes and OTA also produces formats tailored to the needs of its customers.

The holes in the sheets depend on several factors, namely the type of work, the dimensions of the sheet, the suction system and the hole in the support pad, when applicable. There is, therefore, a wide variety of standard solutions.
