Backing Comb./Z Cloth

Alox (Aluminium Oxide) is the most common type of abrasive. It is an excellent starting point for most applications. It is the ideal solution when you want the ability to resist fracturing and medium aggressiveness. It is durable, with resistant cutting edges, showing continuous wear.

It is a support combination, by lamination, cloth and rigid paper (E or F) and is used where mechanical resistance to breaking and cracking/folding is a determining requirement. It is mainly used in large belts with coarse grains for working large chipboard / MDF panels.
The Z cloth is the strongest and most resistant of the cloths and is used in specific situations.

The indicated grits are the most common for the operations in question, but they do not exhaust all available alternatives. We will be happy to help you find the best solution for your case.

The indicated diameters are the most common in the industry. OTA has many more dimensions available, as it produces formats tailored to the needs of its customers.

OTA manufactures practically all types of joints, whatever the material. Although there are base references, OTA’s MTO model involves adapting the type of joint to each specific need.
